Crop Over & Grand Kadooment 

Barbados Crop Over Festival is also known as The Grand Kadooment which is a harvest festival that dates back to 1687. The 3-month long festival is a way to celebrate the end of the sugar cane season and is one of the country’s biggest events. Crop Over Festival is filled with fun, parties (fetes), street parties, tasty food, dancing, Soca music, and colourful Masquerade Bands. The end of this festival is marked with Grand Kadooment day in August, which marks the close of the carnival season.

Barbados Food & Rum Festival  

27th - 31st October 2021 

The Barbados Food and Rum Festival returns for 2021 – tastier than before! As Barbados is the birthplace of rum and known as the Culinary Capital of the Caribbean, the two concepts were married, and the highly anticipated annual Barbados Food and Rum Festival was born. Local chefs and mixologists join forces with international invitees at this constantly expanding culinary festival with events all over the island and plenty of opportunities to sample the best local rums.

Open Water Festival 

3rd - 7th November 2021

The Barbados Open Water Festival invites a diverse mix of swimmers of all ages and abilities from all over the world for five days of swimming fun. This year expect three days of practice swims (2K) in three different locations and two days of races (1.5K, 3.3K, 5K and 10K) in Carlisle Bay. The event is expected to bring more excellent conditions, great prizes, barbecue, kayaking and SUPing. After the swim races, the party starts on the beach where revellers can enjoy music, 

awards presentations, ice cold beer 

and rum punch.
