Their gardens and grounds are well looked after all year round, so you’re always surrounded by manicured lawns and flowers for all seasons. The Hilltop team pride themselves in the flexibility of their service so that no matter what the weather, they will make your wedding wishes come true!
Spring & Summer…
Spring and summer offer the most vibrant of colours as the venue bursts gorgeous flowers and luscious greenery. As we head into spring the drive is lined with daffodils followed by bluebells and if you look into the neighbouring fields, you will see the baby lambs. The top lawn covered in pink petals from the cherry blossom trees and the country house suddenly brims with purple wisteria. Springtime really does bring the excitement that the warmer months are finally here… allowing you to have an outdoor ceremony. Hilltop offers two outdoor ceremony options. One being on the terrace and the other on the top lawn, both with aisles stretching through the flower bedded gardens and a backdrop of the country house. There is no need for you to dress your outdoor ceremony with all the natural beauty that surrounds Hilltop.
Summertime is when the herb garden and orchard really bloom. Hilltop grow their own herbs in their kitchen garden to utilise in your wedding food and drink menus. Their orchard has an abundance of apples, pears and plumbs. Spring and summer allow you to spend your day outdoors, enjoying the views and outstanding gardens... as well as the outdoor bar with pizza oven and BBQ! For your wedding breakfast, their marquee has bifold doors to let in that fresh air. With the light evenings, Hilltop’s boogie room is dark with all the nightclub vibes so that you can dance the night away!
Autumn & Winter…
Autumn and winter at Hilltop is truly magical. With the weather still warm in autumn, the greenery around the venue turns to a burnt orange and fiery red. As the leaves fall off the trees covering the ground, it creates the perfect frame for your wedding photos. During the winter, you’ll notice a little sparkle around Hilltop with the frosty lawns and icy gardens, idyllic for a white wedding. With the night’s drawing in, it’s all about lighting, the entire venue is beautifully lit with uplighters, festoon and fairy lights. Darker evenings in the marquee create a fabulous backdrop for your first dance with twinkling lighting.
Even though it may be cooler, Hilltop’s offering will keep you snug and comfortable. Their outdoor chillout area is fitted with heated umbrellas, gas heaters and blankets for everyone. With the pizza oven going in the evening, it is the ultimate cosy space. For your ceremony indoors you can marry in the garden room or marquee. Both overlook the magnificent gardens and fields and let in plenty of natural light. Your wedding reception held indoors in the 17th century house that bursts with character and the rest of your afternoon and evening spent in the marquee, which is of course central heated!
