We all know Halloween is going to be a bit different this year. But that’s no reason not to celebrate, even if it’s from the comfort of your own home. To get you into the spirit, Gianfranco Iozzi, Novikov Restaurant & Bar’s supremely talented Senior Bartender, has concocted a pair of powerful potions. With one for the adults, and a mocktail version for the little ones, these spooktakular creations will leave the whole family shaken and not a little stirred.
For adults only it’s the Trick or Treat Pornstar. Yes, that classic favourite, The Pornstar Martini, is showing its devilish side. Simply take 30ml Wray & Nephew Ovenproof Rum, 30ml Campari, 20ml passionfruit purée, 20ml vanilla syrup and 10ml lemon, shake and then double strain the ingredients into a coupe glass. Decorate with half a floating passionfruit and a shot of prosecco.
Younger revellers can imbibe an equally bewitching brew in the shape of Gianfranco’s Halloween Non-Alcoholic Punch.
In a rock glass build 50ml Seedlip Spice,10ml pomegranate juice, 10ml pineapple juice, 10ml lime cordial and 10ml pine syrup. Give them a stir and then garnish with lemon zest and pineapple leaves.
Mischievous and magical, Novikov’s Halloween cocktails are a real scream.
