Leila Bibby visits the Harvey Nichols, Liverpool Beauty Bazaar for a lesson in indulgence

Beauty Bazaar, Harvey Nichols is located in the heart of Liverpoolโ€™s fabulous shopping area and is heaven for all beauty junkies! As well as offering a huge selection of exclusive health and beauty brands, a wine store and Champagne bar the store offers some wonderful beauty packages and Beyond Medispa treatments tucked away on the second floor.

I was lucky enough to try their extremely popular โ€˜Out of Office packageโ€™ which includes lunch at their Champagne bar. As soon as I entered the Spa from the hustle and bustle of the store I instantly relaxed. I was warmly greeted with a lovely cold glass of Champagne by the very friendly, yet professional and informative staff. From that moment on you are expertly looked after by top therapists offering a wide range of traditional and more cutting-edge treatments in a luxurious and indulgent environment.

Before starting my treatment with ESPA, the therapist Danielle asked me a few questions to gauge my general sense of well being on the day and I was then offered two essential oils to choose from to ensure the treatment was tailored exactly to my needs. The chosen oil reflects what the body is in need of โ€“ for me it was mild de-stress.

The treatment then started with a back and shoulder massage which was expertly and firmly administered. Danielle is exceptional and was able to really identify all those areas of tension and I could feel all the stress melt out of my shoulders and back.

I then enjoyed a revitalising facial and after a gentle cleanse an ultra-violet machine was used to assess my skinโ€™s hydration levels. I was certainly in need of the facial! After some more lovely massage using essential oils which were again tailored to my personal needs, my skin was treated to a face mask whilst my hands and arms received the same expert massage technique.

Both treatments create a real sense of well being and I certainly left the Spa with the much desired healthy glow.

Following this 90 minutes of indulgence I then enjoyed a Nails inc. manicure at their nail and Champagne bar. The manicure used their gel-like nail polish and fantastic 45 second top coat to leave me with beautifully manicured hands. To complete the package I was then ushered for my last stop at the Marc Jacobs Beauty counter to enjoy an application of make-up by one of their highly trained professional make up artists.

I floated out of Harvey Nichols not only feeling wonderfully relaxed but also looking my best.   will definitely be returning as many of their beauty packages are partly or full redeemable against purchases and they cater for large parties as well so perfect for a get together with friends. The ideal way to spend an afternoon!
