Stand out from the Crowd

Celebrate in style with the team from Food Sorcery

There are many occasions in life that are worthy of a party and, if you are lucky enough to attend a few, memories become a little hazy and it’s increasingly hard to differentiate one from another. The challenge, therefore, is how to make your party stand out from the crowd.

Food Sorcery is a cookery school in Didsbury, South Manchester – the well equipped kitchen is light and airy, with a balcony overlooking the Mersey. If your opinion of a cookery school is starched white aprons and a formal atmosphere, you couldn’t be more wrong – these guys have a refreshing approach to a party, leaving plenty of memories and an appetite for more.

The Corporate Client

The Food Sorcery team takes time to see the best fit for your group – collaboration, competition or pure celebration. Larger groups work on their own food festival, with chefs mentoring teams on different styles of cooking from breads and desserts to Thai street food, giant paella pans and BBQs. The teams interact throughout the event and instead of speaking to one or two colleagues at a traditional works do, the opportunity is there to mingle with many.

Cocktails and street food give the team the opportunity to attend a competitive cocktail masterclass with their expert mixologist, while other colleagues make slider buns, burgers and fresh tacos to feed all… Roles reverse after a break to eat, with the chefs manning the cocktail shakers while the newly trained mixologists become masters of deconstructed cheesecake and brandy snap baskets.

Smaller team events would work together to produce a fine-dining menu, or how about an invention challenge – fantastic chef mentors ensure the emphasis is on working together to produce a meal to remember.

The Private Client

Private dining… with a twist – you and your friends work together to create a menu of your choice. The atmosphere is set from the start with welcome drinks and delicious canapés before the chef demonstrates a starter which your gang recreate cooking in twos and threes. Food Sorcery has a spacious dining area as part of the kitchen, so the group have time to enjoy their starters while the ever-hard-working kitchen team tidy up and prepare for the main course. Chef will demo the main course and again you split up to recreate before returning to the sociable table to eat and relax into the evening. All washing-up is looked after and the chef will magic up a delicious dessert to polish off the evening.

All events are bespoke to your group – introduce cocktails, more or less cooking as you wish – you can be cooked for throughout and purely enjoy a private dining experience in a friendly welcoming venue.

Whatever the occasion, spend a little time finding out about parties at Food Sorcery.
