If you want to fly yourself and a couple of friends high above Europe in the comfort of your own aerial Rolls-Royce, then Daher’s TBM range should be one of your first ports of call. But even so, the company is trying to strengthen its credentials with its new TBM 940 executive turboprop. Capable of flying from Liverpool to Moscow with a 330-knot maximum cruising speed, it’s the first aircraft in its class to come with a full autopilot and autothrottle system.
A Garmin glass cockpit is included, too, as is a de-icing system that comes on automatically if needed. For the passengers in the back, meanwhile, there are comfy new seats and a fleet of USB ports for charging phones and iPads.
