What inspired you to get into fashion?
I had been interested in clothing since the age of 12 since this is when I started to shop for myself. When it came to choose a university course I opted for Fashion or โsewingโ as my mates mocked, but my Mum comforted me in the decision to follow my passion.
Which designers do you admire?
Brunello Cucinelli, Dries Van Noten, Ralph Lauren, Tom Ford
What are your top career highlights so far?
Being called up by a SVP of Menswear at Ralph Lauren, asking if I would like to work for them
Surviving 6 years in Buying and Merchandising at Harrodsโฆ That was tough gig! During this time, I launched many brands into the UK market place, including; Brunello Cucinelli, Bamford & Sons and Belstaff
Launching the MA.Strum brand with Lorenzo Osti and the then founding designer Donrad Duncan. Massimo Osti, Lorenzoโs father was an inspiration to me, and I remain a huge fan of his work.
Becoming the Senior Buyer of Luxury and Casulawear at Mr. Porter (Net-A-Porter), responsible for over 50 brands and a significant chunk of their sales revenue.
Starting my own businessโฆI run a Menswear Agency, now in its sixth year, which represents clothing manufacturers for the UK/IRE menswear market.
What does the future have in store for you?
I love learning and perfecting, so becoming a tailor, has fuelled my passion for the sartorial gentsโ wardrobe even further. In the future, I plan to lean on my manufacturing partners to develop The London Dandy brand in its own right with capsule collections. So, watch this spaceโฆ
