Champagne & Stamina:

How to Stay Energised All Celebration Weekend

Whether you’re the bride, in the wedding party or simply a guest ready to celebrate, a big event weekend can be both exciting and exhausting. Between late nights, dancing, travel and maybe a few too many glasses of bubbly, it’s easy to feel drained. Here are some simple, science-backed strategies that I find help me to stay energised and feel my best all weekend long.

Prioritise Hydration (with a Twist)

Alcohol, sun and dancing can quickly dehydrate you, leading to fatigue, headaches and sluggishness. Hydration is key, but not just with plain water. Electrolytes (like sodium, potassium and magnesium) help your body actually absorb the fluids you drink and restore what you lose through sweat and alcohol.

Pro tip: Start your day with an electrolyte-rich drink.

Use the One-to-One Rule

For every alcoholic drink you enjoy, aim to have one glass of water in between. This simple habit can significantly reduce your risk of hangovers and help you pace yourself throughout the event. Not only will you feel better in the morning, but you will also stay clear-headed and energised during the celebration.

The Power of an IV Vitamin Drip

When you’re in the middle of a celebration weekend, an IV vitamin drip can be a total lifesaver. It’s my go-to quick fix when I need to feel amazing even after a late night or a big day. Whether you’re feeling tired, dehydrated or a bit hungover, a vitamin drip helps you bounce back fast by delivering essential nutrients and hydration directly into your bloodstream for rapid absorption.

Personally, I find that it does more than just restore my energy. It actually gives me a noticeable glow, my skin looks fresher and I feel more radiant overall. It’s like hitting the reset button mid-weekend so you can look and feel your best all over again.

Level Up with NAD+

Preparing your body ahead of time can make all the difference. One of my top recommendations for boosting your energy, focus and recovery is NAD+ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide).

NAD+ is a coenzyme found in every cell, playing a vital role in energy production, cellular repair and brain function. Think of it as fuel for your cells, when NAD+ levels are high, you perform better, think more clearly and recover faster.

I personally use an at-home NAD+ kit every other day to keep my energy consistently high. These kits deliver NAD+ directly into the bloodstream for maximum absorption and immediate benefits, unlike oral supplements, which can lose potency through digestion.

In preparation for a multi-day celebration, NAD+ can be a game-changer. It helps you stay sharp and energised, reduces post-event fatigue and supports your body in bouncing back quickly after long nights or travel.

You can take NAD+ in a few different forms depending on your needs:

  • At-home kits (my personal go-to): Convenient and effective for regular maintenance.

  • IV drip: Ideal before a big event for a higher-dose boost.

  • Booster injection: A quick, effective option when you’re short on time but still want the benefits.

So, if you’re looking to show up as your most energised, focused and resilient self for the weekend ahead, NAD+ is a smart addition to your pre-event routine.

Fuel Your Body with Smart Nutrition

Avoid skipping meals and make time for balanced, nutrient-dense food. Focus on:

  • Protein to keep you full.

  • Complex carbs for slow-release energy (think oats, quinoa, sweet potatoes).

  • Healthy fats like avocado and nuts to help regulate blood sugar.

  • Plenty of fruits and vegetables for essential vitamins and antioxidants.

Even during a busy schedule, prioritising a nourishing
breakfast and a few well-planned snacks can go a long way.

Exercise

I personally find doing some light exercise in the morning really helpful. Whether it’s a short run outside or a quick session on the stepper at the gym, it instantly gives me more energy and sets a positive tone for the day. The movement gets your endorphins flowing, which naturally lifts your mood. I also like to fit in a sweat session in the sauna, it’s a great way to reset, sweat out any toxins and clear your head. Even just 20–30 minutes in the sauna can leave you feeling refreshed and recharged for whatever’s next on the agenda.

Final Thoughts

Weddings and celebration weekends are to be enjoyed. By taking a few proactive steps, like staying hydrated with electrolytes, balancing alcohol with water, using an IV Vitamin Drip, nourishing your body and considering NAD+, you’ll be setting yourself up for energy, clarity and good vibes from the first toast to the final farewell.
