Courmayeur, situated on the Italian side of Mont Blanc, is a traditional, yet sophisticated resort surrounded by spectacular scenery and is full of history and charm.

Visitors are being invited to β€˜live-like-a-local’ and experience their very own alpine office, with carefully tailored β€˜workation stations’ now available. Boasting a lifestyle which invites people to connect with nature and live well, Courmayeur is leading the way in raising awareness on the importance of looking after your mental and physical health whilst working remotely. From Courmayeur’s HQ, digital nomads can enjoy the serenity of the majestic Mont Blanc, hit the slopes for some fresh mountain air and exercise, and ultimately experience a more motivated working relationship and healthier lifestyle – all year round.

Situated right the foot of the Mont Blanc, Courmayeur’s new smart-working initiative has been inspired by its own natural surroundings, which encourages guests and residents to spend time outdoors in the fresh alpine air. Early risers can start their day with a walk in the peaks or even β€˜zoom’ down the slopes before their first β€˜zoom’ meeting. Lunchbreaks can be enjoyed with a meadow picnic or in the town’s picturesque cafes, where working professionals can refuel themselves on traditional local cuisine. The undulating backdrop, glacial lakes and spectacular views lend themselves perfectly to spot of yoga or medication – undistributed by any modern-day burdens.

Courmayeur has designed three alpine offices, all fully equipped with comfortable working spaces and high-speed WiFi. A brand-new workspace has been designed in the Skyway Monte Bianco, a state-of- the-art cableway connecting the Italian Alps to the French. Through a β€˜Skyway Smart-Working Ticket’ (€52 / Β£45 per person) employees will fill their wildest working dreams and email from an impressive 2,200 metres high at the Pavilion station, with coffee available on demand. At lunch visitors can swap their stroll around the block with a ski down the mountain or trade in their office canteen lunch for a meal at almost 3,500 metres high at the panoramic restaurant, Bistrot Panoramic – boasting breathtaking views of the Mont Blanc, Monte Rosa, Matterhorn, Grand Paradiso and Grand Combin.

Those seeking a little less altitude can retreat to Auberge de la Maison’s cosy alpine chalets nestled in the heart of the valley, just outside of the 4* hotel. The 5* Grand Hotel Courmayeur Mont Blanc is offering luxury combined with peace and quiet, guests can book one of two hotel rooms that are perfect for video conferencing and provide all the necessary working-from-home comforts. Meanwhile, the historic Royal & Golf Hotel and high-end Le Massif – both 5* hotels situated in the centre of Courmayeur, are ideal for those seeking a touch of luxury - with wonderfully refined room service and well-equipped smart working rooms, the hotels are looking forward to welcoming its workationers.

Courmayeur was recently crowned one of the top five ski resorts in Europe in the prestigious CondΓ© Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards 2020. Courmayeur has been voted for the authenticity and uniqueness of its surroundings, as well as, for its commitment to sustainability and respect of nature.
