Cheshire Oaks was launched in 1995 and is a shopping favourite for the region. What have been its key success and why do customers keep coming back?

McArthurGlen Designer Outlet Cheshire Oaks was Europe’s first designer outlet and is still the largest in the UK. Over the years, we have built strong and trusting partnerships with the world’s most prestigious designer, premium and high street brands with over 170 of them able to call Cheshire Oaks their home, including Coach, Mulberry and Ted Baker.

Our guests are at the heart of everything we do, and we know that a trip to Cheshire Oaks is a day out; our visitors stay an average of three hours and return on average seven times a year. So, we ensure that Cheshire Oaks is always engaging, memorable and captivating; whether this is through our expansive brand offering or the opportunity to enjoy our programme of entertainment such as concerts, children’s workshops and cultural events. In doing so, we ensure that our more than 8 million shoppers always have an unforgettable and enjoyable visit.

In a nutshell, what changes can customers expect from the new expansion?

Our £40 million expansion has created space for 25 new retail and food and beverage brands, and our guests love the greater mix of fashion, lifestyle and restaurant brands on offer. We have welcomed exciting new brands such as Kate Spade, Pandora, Thomas Sabo, Police, Mint Velvet and Dune and Leon.

We have introduced new facilities and attractions too, including 300 additional parking spaces plus we will also be opening a new Changing Places facility, guest welcome centre and exciting children’s playground later in the year.

Will there be more on offer for children to keep them entertained while parents shop?

We know that a visit to Cheshire Oaks is a day out for the whole family; therefore, we have plenty to keep parents and their little ones entertained. The centre is home to over 170 brands and has a great offering for children which includes Build a Bear, Clarks, Joules and Haribo. Also, dining is made easy with a range of family-friendly restaurants including Giraffe, Pizza Express and Comptoir Libanais; with a number of our restaurants also offering kids eat free initiatives throughout the year. On top of this, as part of the £40m expansion, we will be installing a brand-new playground set to open later this year.

Are there any other added extras customers can expect from the expansion?

Building on the huge success of the Summer Social and the successful Christmas lights switch on; the Cheshire Oaks Piazza has had a full revamp, increasing in size to deliver an exceptional events programme to give our guests a reason to return again and again.
