My Life - Jade Homfray-Jones, Cosmetic Dentist at Kissdental Alderley Edge
How would you describe yourself?
I am artistic, a perfectionist and a mother. In my spare time I love travel and food; to relax I enjoy gardening or painting.
Where is home? And work?
I grew up in the countryside in a little village called Antrobus (Cheshire). I now live in Altrincham with my husband, Will, and our two children called Camilla (age 2) and Felix (10 months). I work at our dental practice on the high street in Alderley Edge, which we opened in August 2022.
Name a few of your favourite places to beβ¦
Altrincham (Alty) Market has to be our most frequented place, you just canβt beat the atmosphere and food, plus it has a play area and itβs pram friendly! The Lambing Shed in Knutsford is a lovely spot for lunch at the weekend and has a little play area for the children. We often go for a day out to Arley Hall & Gardens where Will and I got married. Both my parents are from North Wales originally and I like to visit the Llyn Peninsula. My two favourite food spots are the Ty Cocch Inn (Morfa Nefyn) and Dylanβs (Criccieth). One of our favourite countries to visit is Japan - the food is out of this world, from sushi to ramen. Bologna is our favourite city break - mainly for the food - from balsamic vinegar to parmesan and tortellini. We were fortunate enough to visit Massimo Botturaβs restaurant Osteria Francescana for an unforgettable experience. This summer we travelled down to Cornwall and we were blown away by the beauty of the beaches, particularly Porthcurno and St Ives. Our favourite restaurant was Paul Ainsworth at No 6 in Padstow which has a beautifully crafted menu and ambience.
What or who inspires you?
My mum and dad inspire me through their values, guidance, and the way they face challenges. They have taught me important lessons, like resilience in tough situations, the value of hard work, and how to be kind and compassionate to others.
What was the last gift you gave someone?
I gave my friend a Jo Malone candle as a house warming gift. Iβm obsessed with their scents, especially their pine and eucalyptus at Christmas.
βLife is full of change, and while we canβt always control what happens, we can control how we respondβ
Tell us a secret/fun fact?
As a child I won two Blue Peter badges.
Whatβs the one song you have on heavy rotation?
Itβs not one song, but the Bridgerton Official Soundtrack is heavily played. As well as my 2 year oldβs favourite Baby Shark.
Your mastermind subject?
Teeth of course! Or Orthodontics - I just completed a 3 year part-time Masters in Clinical Orthodontics.\
Whatβs been your biggest life lesson?
One of the biggest life lessons Iβve come to understand is the importance of adaptability. Life is full of change, and while we canβt always control what happens, we can control how we respond. Being open to learning, adjusting, and growing - especially in the face of uncertainty or setbacks - can lead to deeper understanding, resilience, and unexpected opportunities. I also think the lesson of empathy plays a huge role in life. Recognising that everyone has their own unique struggles and perspectives helps build stronger connections and encourages a more compassionate world.
