NOW THATS WHAT I CALL A MUSICAL at Opera House Manchester

Katie Barrell visited to Opera House Manchester to watch NOW THATS WHAT I CALL A MUSICAL

Take a step into the nostalgic and vibrant world of 80s pop with NOW THATS WHAT I CALL A MUSICAL, at the Opera House Manchester.

With music from the 80s, choreography by Craig Revel Horwood and a brilliant comedy writing from Pippa Evan’s this really is a credit to the celebration of 40years of the iconic NOW THATS WHAT I CALL MUSIC ALBUMS.

If the 80s provided the soundtrack to your childhood then like me you’ll find the soundtrack unbeatable, with hit after hit you’ll be singing all night long and on the journey home.

The amazing combination of Nina Wadia and Sam Bailey in the roles of Gemma and April, take the audience through the highs and lows as old friends reunite, confronted by the hopes of the past, the reality of the present and opportunity to embrace the future.

Throughout the audience were noticeably laughing, giggling and gasping as the story unfolded before them. The character of Tim, played by Chris Grahamson, was the villain of the piece, but his rendition of Gold was a hilarious comedic moment.

The sprinkling of hits also included β€˜video killed the radio star’, β€˜sisters are doing for themselves’ and β€˜tainted love’. Sam Baileys voice as you would expect was phenomenal, whilst there were a number of other singing performances which were also incredible.

A cameo by Sonia was the icing on the cake for a truly outstanding show, and a must see for fans of 80s music and comedy.

Tickets are still available, this show is one not to be missed showing at the Opera house in Manchester now.
